The National Sunflower Association’s Annual Summer Seminar will be held June 25-27 at in Medora, ND. The annual meeting gives industry leaders and producers a chance to network and learn about what’s happening in the sunflower industry.
The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA) Administrator Martin Barbre will be the keynote speaker during Wednesday’s noon luncheon. Barbre will share how the RMA serves America’s farmers and about his vision to secure the future of agriculture. Leaders of the National Sunflower Association will also be honored at the luncheon.
Other sessions include presentations about Palmer amaranth, combine fire research, harvest best practices, and a brainstorm session about sunflower research.
“Sunflower is an important agricultural crop choice for producers in the northern plains of the Dakotas to the panhandle of Texas, this event brings together stakeholders from all across the US.” says John Sandbakken, NSA Executive Director. “We’ve got some great speakers and breakout sessions planned this year. This is our 37th annual Summer Seminar. It’s become a ‘can’t miss destination event’ for sunflower producers and industry leaders every year.”
